Help
Short, practical walkthroughs of everything in Ode, from your first event to the seating plan. Most take a few minutes to read.
Plan limits at a glance: Free has 20 photos, a 7-day album window, 30 RSVP replies and no co-organisers. Starter (£15) has 50 photos, 30 days, 75 replies and 1 co-organiser, and adds the guestbook and custom colours. Plus (£35) has 300 photos, 90 days, 250 replies and 2 co-organisers, and adds the seating plan, music requests, guest-list RSVP and the catering PDF. Complete (£65) has 1,000 photos, 180 days, 500 replies and 5 co-organisers. The full comparison is on the pricing page.
The complete walkthrough: from blank page to wedding day
One long read that builds a whole wedding site in order: create the event, the cover and palette, every section, an open RSVP for the evening, a guest-list RSVP with menus for the day, music requests, the registry, publishing on Plus and sharing the link.
Create your event
The four-step wizard: template, names and date, your web address, a palette and font, and what happens when you land in the studio.
Build and design your page
Adding, reordering and hiding sections in the Content workspace, and changing the palette, accent colour and fonts in Design.
Go live and share your link
Publishing your page, choosing a plan, the Share popover for your link and QR code, and what Draft, Live and Ended mean for guests.
Set up for you: what to send us, and when
If you've chosen Set up for you, this is everything we'll ask for to build your website, RSVP and guest list, with notes on cover photos and menus.
Plan with the task list
The starter tasks, taking more from the UK wedding suggestions by stage, adding your own with dates and notes, reordering by drag, and ticking things off. Every plan.
Track your budget and supplier payments
Setting a target and currency, adding what you are paying for and who is supplying it, scheduling deposits and balances, ticking them off, and downloading it as a PDF. Plus and above.
See how your wedding is going
Site visits over the last 30 days, replies and who is coming, what is in the album, tasks and budget at a glance, and how much of your plan you have used. Every plan.
Set up RSVPs and meal choices
Open vs guest-list RSVP, menus and courses, plus-ones, setting a deadline, adding your guest list, and what guests see when they reply.
Manage replies and export for your caterer
Reading replies by section, the Follow up badge and Dietary needs filter, handling late changes, and the caterer PDF on Plus.
Build the seating plan
Adding tables, seating guests by drag or tap, putting the Seating plan section on your page, and the two PDFs for the venue and kitchen.
Guestbook, music requests and the gift registry
Managing messages, downloading the song list for your DJ, and adding gifts guests can claim.
Ode Business for venues, planners and suppliers
A wedding website in your package: creating an event for each couple, inviting them to build their own site, publishing without a plan step, the team, the photo pool and albums, optional templates, monthly or annual billing, and the Essential plan without the pool.
Invite a co-organiser
Sharing the workload: sending an invite, how the invitee accepts, what co-organisers can and cannot do, and removing access.
Privacy, passwords and guest permissions
Who can access your page, setting or removing a password, your plan and billing, and deleting the event.
Refer a friend
Your event address is your referral code. A friend gets 10% off any plan and your event gets 100 extra photos, up to 500 per event.
Troubleshooting and common questions
Quick answers: missing photos, guests who can't RSVP, the Free plan greyed out, locked album dates, login problems and more.
A note on accuracy. Ode changes often: we take on feedback from couples every week, add features and tidy up rough edges, and the guides are written after the fact. So a label, a layout or a step here may be slightly out of date. When the studio and a guide disagree, the studio is right, and we would be glad to hear about it so we can fix the guide.
