Every event starts as a draft that only you (and any co-organisers) can see. You can build, preview and change your mind for as long as you like; guests see nothing until you publish. The bar above the canvas shows a Draft indicator and a Go live → button, and that button is the whole process.
Going live
Press Go live.
Clicking Go live → opens the publish modal, with the tier cards side by side: Free, Starter, Plus and a larger tier above that. Plus carries the Recommended badge. Each card lists what the plan includes; the pricing page has the full comparison if you want to weigh it up first.

Confirm and activate.
Tick the checkbox — I understand my event will be visible to anyone with the link / password — then press Activate & go live →. On the free plan that’s it; your page is live immediately. Paid tiers go through Stripe checkout first and publish once payment completes.
Sharing your link
Once live, the canvas bar changes: the indicator reads Live and your link appears beside it, in the form ode.events/events/your-slug, with a copy action so you can paste it straight into a message or invitation. You’ll also find a QR code download there. The QR code opens the same page and prints nicely on save-the-dates and table cards, so guests can reach your page from a phone camera without typing anything.
Who can open the link depends on your privacy settings; if you’ve set a password, guests need it before they see the page. See Privacy, passwords and guest permissions for the options.
Editing after you go live
Going live doesn’t freeze anything. Keep editing in the studio as normal; changes save automatically and guests see the updated page on their next visit. Most couples publish early with the basics and fill in the details as plans firm up.
Taking the page offline
If you need to pull the page back, the same spot in the canvas bar lets you take it offline. A Take offline? confirmation appears, and accepting it returns the event to draft. Nothing is deleted: your sections, replies and photos all stay put, and you can go live again whenever you’re ready.
