About Ode
Ode Events is a UK wedding website builder. We started with a straightforward problem: planning a wedding is already stressful enough without spending half of it answering the same questions in a group chat nobody can find anything in.
We wanted something that felt like our wedding — not a booking platform, not a vendor marketplace, not a template from a wedding website builder that tries to sell us a photographer before we've finished setting up. Just a clean, beautiful page that had everything our wedding guests needed in one place: the venue, the schedule, the RSVP with meal choices, the seating plan, the photo album. Our day. Our way.
The options we found either required guests to download an app (which half of them wouldn't), charged a subscription for something we needed once, or came bundled with advertising for services we hadn't asked for. None of them felt like they were built for the guests — they felt like they were built around upselling the couple.
So we built Ode Events.
A single link we could share with every wedding guest. One place that had the venue details, the schedule, the answers to the questions people keep asking, and an RSVP with meal choices that didn't require anyone to create an account. Something guests could get back to easily — not buried in a message thread from three weeks ago.
We also wanted to collect photos. Not just from the wedding photographer — from everyone. The candid ones from the table at the back. The ones from outside. The ones taken at midnight when nobody was being professional. A shared wedding album every guest could add to, directly from their camera roll, without downloading anything.
Almost everyone has a smartphone. Almost everyone can send a message or open a link. That should be the bar — if it's harder than that, guests won't bother, and you'll end up chasing people anyway.
Guests can add your wedding page to their home screen with one tap — no App Store, no account, no download. It looks and feels like an app. It remembers them when they come back. It works on any phone, any browser, without any of the friction that usually comes with “just download our app.”
Because the best RSVP tool is the one your guests actually use. And the best photo album is the one they actually add to.
We have no interest in turning your wedding website into a marketplace. We won't be recommending photographers, venues, florists or caterers — your wedding page is yours, not a lead generation tool for someone else's business.
