Ode Events started with a straightforward problem: planning an event is already stressful enough without spending half of it answering the same questions in a group chat that nobody can find anything in.
We wanted something that felt like our event — not a booking platform, not a vendor marketplace, not a template from a wedding website builder that tries to sell us a photographer before we've even finished setting up. Just a clean, beautiful page that had everything guests needed in one place: the venue, the schedule, the RSVP, the photo album. Our event. Our way.
The options we found either required guests to download an app (which half of them wouldn't), charged a subscription for something we needed once, or came bundled with advertising for services we hadn't asked for. None of them felt like they were built for the guests — they felt like they were built around upselling the organiser.
So we built Ode Events.
A single link we could share with every guest. One place that had the venue details, the schedule, the answers to the questions people keep asking, and an RSVP that didn't require anyone to create an account. Something guests could get back to easily — not buried in a message thread from three weeks ago.
We also wanted to collect photos. Not just from the photographer — from everyone. The candid ones from the table at the back. The ones from outside. The ones taken at midnight when nobody was being professional. A shared album that every guest could add to, directly from their camera roll, without downloading anything.
Almost everyone has a smartphone. Almost everyone can send a message or open a link. That should be the bar — if it's harder than that, guests won't bother, and you'll end up chasing people anyway.

It looks and feels like an app. It remembers them when they come back. It works on any phone, any browser, without any of the friction that usually comes with “just download our app.”
