Three rules worth knowing before you start
One live free event per account. You can keep drafts, but only one free wedding website can be live at a time. Paid events don’t count towards this.
The album opens on the wedding day and closes 7 days later. You can move the opening date until the first photo arrives, after which it is locked. When the window closes the photos are deleted, so download the ones you want from the studio before then.
Nothing is kept longer than it needs to be. RSVP replies are deleted 90 days after the wedding date; the page and everything else (guestbook, music requests, seating, registry) a year after. The privacy policy has the full timeline.
Why the free plan exists
Plenty of “free” wedding website builders ask for card details up front and bill you at publish. Ode doesn’t. There is no card up front, no surprise charge and no subscription.
The free plan is a real wedding website rather than a demo: schedule, venue, story, FAQ, online RSVPs with meal choices and a shared photo album. A small wedding can run the whole day from it. Bigger weddings tend to want more photos, more replies, the seating plan, guestbook and music requests, and for those we charge a single one-off fee.
If you never upgrade, that’s fine. You still get your wedding website, your RSVPs collected and your photo album shared, with nothing blocked and nothing nagging you.
